About

150 years ago, in 1864, William Worrall Mayo, M.D., opened his medical practice in Rochester, MN. This practice evolved under his sons, William J. Mayo, M.D. and Charles H. Mayo, M.D, into today’s Mayo Clinic. For more about the early history of the Mayo Clinic see http://150years.mayoclinic.org/history/historic-photos.php .

To help commemorate the Mayo Clinic’s  Sesquicentennial, the Rochester Amateur Radio Club activated Special Events Station KØM August 7 through 12. Find out more about the Rochester Amateur Radio Club at http://www.rarchams.org/ .
